Found! Anthropologie

No matter what the occasion, Anthropologie has been my go to store for years. The Urban Outfitters sister company has been around since 1992 yet still does not have the huge amount of loyal shoppers that it should. The customers that it does have though, have a cult-like obsession with the store. From the whimsical clothing to the offbeat kitchen and housewares, this place has the best of whats out there. If I could only shop at one store for the rest of my life, this would be the place. To find a store near you, go to Anthropologie.com

Found! Nordstroms Rack

Everyone loves a good deal on designer duds, and Nordstroms Rack sure does have them. Many people know of The Rack, but most people I talk to are not taking advantage of this low price mecca. I don't know how many times someone has complimented something, and then when I tell them its Marc Jacobs, they say, "oh I would never pay that much for something." So I then tell them "it really was not that much, I got it at The Rack." Then then turn to me and say, "oh, well never-mind, its too much trouble to shop there." It's really not, you just have to know how to work it. When you first walk in it can seem intimidating and endless, but you just need to know where to look. Things can get crowded, but the racks are always nicely labeled. When I go, I am in and out in 20 minutes. People always ask me, "how do you do that?" You just have to know where to start. If you are just at The Rack to see what kind of deals you can get on these designer duds, stay with the racks labeled "from our Nordstrom stores." My advice is to just look at the racks labeled "Savvy and T.b.d." These racks are filled with the real good stuff. I have found $40 Marc by Marc Jacobs silk blouses that retailed for over $300. A Robert Rodriguez embellished sleeveless blouse for $35 that retailed for over $350! A Marc by Marc Jacobs wool jacket for $120 that retailed for over $550! Most of the duds are at least 50% off, usually way more. Sometimes they even have special event days when everything is and extra 40-50% off! But, if you want to know in advance when those days happen, you have to make friends with the employees. But it is hit or miss. Sometimes I will walk out with bags and bags of great deals, and some days I will walk out with nothing. Either way, it is worth the trip and the scavenger hunt. Found! The Perfect Panties

I love fancy and expensive underwear. To me there is nothing more feminine, and no matter what you are wearing on the outside, you feel great knowing you have something great on underneath it all. Sometimes though, it can be too frilly and lacy for everyday wear, leaving weird lumps and panty lines. I have found the perfect pair of seamless panties. They are made by the company Hanky Panky. They come in a million different colors, and in boyshort and thong styles. Either one you prefer is guaranteed to be comfortable and invisible under your clothing. They are not cheap Fruit of the Looms though, the boyshorts shown are $34 and the thongs are $18- 25 a pop. There is good news for those of you who think they are a bit pricey, I have found the boyshort style for $5 and the thong style for $6 at Nordstroms Rack. Remember, a great outfit has to start with great structure underneath it all, and no one finds VPL attractive.
Found! Ruelala

Online sample sales are the greatest idea EVER. Don't get me wrong, I love to shop, but for me going to a sample sale can be very annoying. First, you have to stand in line, I'm not big on lines, watching everyone who got there before you walk out with tons of stuff, hoping that there is something still left inside for you. Then, when you finally get in, it is a mad rush to find what you want, and yes I admit, pushing people out of your way in the process of getting it. And, after all the waiting and pushing, you find out that they don't have anything you want, or even worse, nothing is really that discounted. This has happened far too many times to me, and lets just say, it has to be the sale of the century to get me to go. I know many people who feel the same way, and that is why some genius invented the online sample sale! There are a lot of them out there but my favorite is on Ruelala.com. This invitation only sample sale is very easy to use and has great designer products deeply discounted. Previous sample sales included: Marc by Marc Jacobs, Juicy Couture, Free People, Seven Jeans, Kate Spade, Betsey Johnson, Michael Kors, Cole Hann, James Perce, Shoshanna, Yves Saint Laurent, and so many more. Their Boutiques feature products for not just women, but also men and children, which makes it great for some quality gift shopping. I have always been a fan of quality over quantity, but quality is not cheap most of the time. Ruelala makes it cheap, and gives you the opportunity to wear your Hello Kitty slippers while you shop. Nothing is better than coming home to find your Ruelala package waiting at your door. Like I said before, it is by invitation only, so leave me an email address and I will invite you to the best online sample sale around.
